Our policy

We believe that everyone is different, and that these differences make our workplace better. People bring different skills, ideas and experiences, and we value them all.

We follow rules that make sure everyone is treated fairly and has the same chances. We do not allow unfair treatment or discrimination.

Everyone who works here, or works with us, helps to make a friendly and welcoming place where people feel safe and respected.

We are clear about how we will deal with any behaviour that goes against these values. We do not accept any kind of discrimination, whether it is obvious or less obvious, in the way we work.

We are committed to:

  • Treating all visitors with kindness, dignity and respect
  • Making sure men and women have equal opportunities
  • Not allowing any unfair treatment or bullying because of someone’s:
    • age
    • sex or gender
    • marital status
    • pregnancy
    • race or background
    • disability
    • sexual orientation
    • religion or beliefs
  • Giving the same care and services to everyone, including the right to register with the practice

This policy applies to everyone, including patients, their families, visitors and contractors.

If discrimination happens:

  • If you feel you have been treated unfairly by the practice, please tell the Practice Manager straight away. They will look into it fully.
  • We also protect our staff. We have a zero-tolerance policy. This means any visitor who behaves in a discriminatory way will be asked to leave immediately.
  • If the person is a patient, they may be removed from the practice list.
