Your Annual COPD Review
Key Information
- Yearly Service: Think of your annual review as a regular "service" for your lungs.
- Adapting Care: COPD can change over time, so your treatment needs to keep up.
- The Goal: To help you live well, manage symptoms, and prevent flare-ups.
What Happens at the Review?
When you attend your appointment, we focus on three key areas:
1. The Discussion
- How your breathing has been recently.
- How COPD is affecting your daily life.
- Any recent flare-ups or chest infections.
2. The Checks
- Inhaler Technique: Ensuring you are using your inhaler correctly to get the full benefit.
- Breathlessness Score: Assessing how breathlessness affects your activity.
- Chest Check: Listening to your chest if needed.
3. The Plan
- We review and update your self-management plan so you know what to do if symptoms change.
